Samsung to launch larger ISOCELL sensors including 200MP
Giant Camera Sensors Coming Soon It’s rumored that Samsung will be introducing new large camera sensors later this year. Samsung’s 108MP sensor is now available on the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Ice Universe, a trusted source for Samsung news, says that Samsung ISOCELL will release innovative sensors later this year.
The 200MP sensor is also rumored to be coming soon. As usual, the 200MP sensor will be the camera sensor for high-end products. No details about the sensor are currently known. In April 2020, it was reported that Samsung was developing a 250MP sensor.
The sensor is said to be 1 inch in diameter and will be significantly larger than the current largest sensor, the 1/33 108MP sensor. The 200MP sensor is estimated to be less than an inch in size. The Ice Universe also reported that Samsung was launching a 600MP sensor late last year. The sensor is expected to be capable of delivering a camera system that exceeds the visual acuity of the human eye.
